The Island House Bed & Breakfast is located in the quaint old fishing village of Wanchese on Roanoke Island. It is a unique and small community that is close to the beautiful Nags Head beaches and great fishing
Days at Island House begin with an appetizing buffet breakfast, served daily in the dining room. After that, the choice is yours. The area's many attractions may capture your fancy but lounging around the house is not without its own appeal.
There are 3 rooms & 1 suite (all with queensize beds) at the Inn. All are decorated with antiques and offer private baths (1 with a jacuzzi tub), color cable tvs/dvds, radios, cabana fans and central air conditioning. There are beach towels and beach chairs for our guests.
The Island House is a Quiet and Unique romantic retreat which provides a smoke free adult atmosphere, although, smoking is permitted outside on the porch.

Roanoke Island has many interesting attractions of its own... North Carolina Aquarium, Elizabethan Gardens, Elizabeth II Historic Center, Festival Park, Fort Raleigh Historic Site, Lost Colony and the Wanchese Industrial Fishing Center. Roanoke Island also has some of the best restaurants on the outer banks.

-Cancellation Policy:
- Stays of 4-nights or less (10-day notice)
- Stays over 4 days (3 weeks notice)
- All cancellations will be charged a $50.00 cancellation fee.
- Cancellations of less than 10 days or 3 weeks notice forfeits deposit of 1/2 of stay, cancellations of less than 24 hours notice forfeits the entire stay, shortening of stay is considered a cancellation.
